TIE THE KNOT HAWAII is a boutique wedding planning service independently owned and operated by Heather Singleton. We are based on Kauai, the small Hawaiian island best known for its luxury resorts, soft, sandy beaches, lush, green slopes and wild, natural rainforests. From simple declarations of love, to grand, glamorous affairs of the heart, TIE THE KNOT HAWAII is dedicated to creating your perfect Hawaiian wedding!


Born in Hawaii, raised in California and educated in New York, Heather Singleton is a local girl who gets things done. With training in theatre design and management, and over 8 years of experience in wedding and event planning, Heather brings a creative flair to each wedding she coordinates, while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. She believes deeply in the spirit of Aloha; she listens carefully to her clients and finds unique solutions for each of their needs.

Heather has called the island of Kauai her home for the past 14 years. When not making wedding magic or throwing extravagant bashes, Heather is mother of one active 3 year old boy and has a little wahine on the way.   Heather has served on the Board of the the Kauai YWCA for the past 5 years and is currently Board President.  She is committed to being an active member and giving back to the Kauai community.  If she is ever able to sneak a moment to herself, you will find her practicing, bobbing on a board in the surf or enjoying a latte at Javakai! 




 Locally born & raised, Marin has over 11 years experience in tourism and hospitality on Kauai.  She has worked in the Polynesian entertainment industry as a coordinator and a dancer for the decade.  Marin grew up studying ballet, and has the work ethic and discipline to prove it.  She is mother to a beautiful 3 year daughter, so along with her amazing commitment she has a large supply of patience.  Marin is a talented artist, hula dancer and dedicated professional.  She earned the title of Miss Garden Island in her last year of High School, shhhhh don't tell her we told you!     






Pure Aloha.  Over the past 4 years Tie the Knot Hawaii has enjoyed working with Leticia a Food & Beverage vendor.  We loved her so much that we decided to officially invite her to coordinate for us in October 2017.  Leticia's family has called Kauai home for over 40 years.  She moved to the mainland as a child and was raised in Northern California.  Leticia earned her Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art & Community Studies at  UC Santa Cruz, then spent 6 living & working in San Fransisco as an Executive Art Director & Community Art Project Organizer for inner city children.  Kauai always calls you home, Leticia returned back to the island in 2010.  We are so lucky to the opportunity to share this lovely & talented professional with our clients.  




Accounts Coordinator

Alison plays a major role behind the scenes on every Tie the Knot Hawaii wedding and event tracking booking confirmations, deposits, receipts and final payments.  Her expertise is book keeping and human resources, she bring with her 40 years of experience providing professional administrative services. 

Pictured to the right with her twin grandsons, Alison's is favorite job title is "Tutu" (Hawaiian for Grandma).

Stacey will likely to be your first point of contact with Tie the Knot Hawaii.  She answers all website and new wedding inquiries.  Stacey will ensure you receive the attention you deserve right from the beginning of the planning process.  During the initial email process, she will learn as much about your wedding goals before setting you up with a complimentary consultation call with Heather.

We realize that whether you are local or visiting, you will likely have friends and family joining you on Kauai for your wedding celebration, and you will likely need assistance planning activities.  Included in every Tie the Knot Hawaii contract is complimentary services from Island Activities Concierge.  Sonja, the owner, was born and raised on Kauai and has been a concierge for over 20 years.  She offers creative ideas and honest recommendations, and would love to help you plan island activities for you and your guests.
